While Dr. Mark Holterman is a busy man, he always makes time for his philanthropic pursuits, and his support of the International Pediatric Specialists Alliance for the Children of Vietnam (IPSAC-VN) has been nothing short of amazing. While attending the University of Virginia, he met Ai-Xuan Le, his future wife, and they have inspired each other to focus on certain areas of the medical profession (MarkHolterman.WordPress).
Dr. Mark Holterman has also always been interested in regenerative medicine, and this combined with his care for children inspired him to co-found the Hannah Sunshine Foundation, which is a charitable organization that focuses on offering kids regenerative treatments for chronic illnesses they have (http://alivenewspaper.com/2017/11/dr-holterman-battles-childhood-obesity/). As one of the founders of IPSAC-VN, he has been to Vietnam and has seen, for himself, the lack of pediatric care. His charity now joins together medical professionals in Vietnam with those in the United States so they can improve healthcare for children in the area.
